This is an authentic and hand-printed etching print. The motif is etched into a metal plate and then run through a roller press to be printed. The process of reapplying the ink by hand makes each print unique in its tone and texture within the edition.
About this etching

The idea for this etching originated in a story I used to work on about a place that gets swallowed by the ocean. The shattered shipwreck belonged to the person standing on it. I will leave the rest up to your own imagination, as I realised that capturing the aesthetic is what I'm really after rather than an exact retelling of events.
The title is a reference to the song "A Salty Dog" by the band Procol Harum.

This print ships packed in acid free tissue paper and rolled up inside a tube to prevent damage.
Display and care
A safe way to display it is usually in a glass frame with a passepartout. Please avoid long-term exposure of the print to direct sunlight and very high air humidity. Store only in materials that do not attack the paper or ink.
